Music and dance is an essential part of Ghanaian culture and it's through this that history events are communicated verbally and visually. Traditional music and dance are played and performed at any event- it could be on joyous and sad occasions in an expression of the event and to lift moral.
You can actually try the African music and dance culture here in Denmark. At he African drums- and dance camp 'Utamaduni' can you try to dance and play the original music. Most of the teachers comes from Africa, and are dancing the original dances. So if you can't afford to travel all the way to Africa maybe try this camp instead? |
