8 The oldest European castle in Sub-Saharan Africa was also built in Ghana. It was built by the Portuguese around 1482, and named Elmina castle. At the time it was sadly used to store slaves, before shipping them to the US.
9 Ghana launched their own space program, and are as of 2017, the first Sub-Saharan African country to send a satellite into space.
10 Ghana has a delicious national dish called fufu. Its base is potato and its basicly a cusine.
